Privacy Policy — Eddy's Games

Effective date: 1 July 2026

Thank you for playing Eddy's Games. This policy explains, in plain English, exactly what happens to your information when you use the app. In short: the games themselves are fully offline and private, and the only information that ever leaves your device is what you choose to share by taking part in the optional online leaderboards.

Eddy's Games is a collection of classic puzzle and board games that you play entirely on your device. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking, and there are no sign-in or password-protected accounts. The one feature that uses the internet is the optional online leaderboard: if it is turned on, the display name you pick and your game scores are shared to a public leaderboard. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

Information stored on your device

To let you play, save progress, and keep score, the app stores some information locally on your device. Unless you take part in the online leaderboards (below), this stays on your device and is not sent anywhere. It includes:

This data lives in the app's private on-device storage. If you delete the app, iOS removes this local data along with it.

Optional online leaderboards

Eddy's Games includes an optional online leaderboard so you can compare your scores with other players. It is turned on by default, and you can turn it off at any time in the app's Settings.

To take part, you choose a display name. This name can be anything you like — it does not have to be your real name, and there is no sign-in, password, or email address.

When online participation is on and you have set a display name, finishing a single-player game submits that result to a shared, public leaderboard. Each submission includes:

The two-player games (Tic-Tac-Toe, Four in a Row, and Reversi) are never shared.

The leaderboard is stored as a single public file hosted by a third-party service (plainraw.com). It is publicly visible and, by design, can be edited by the app's users, so please do not put anything private or personal in your display name. To show the online leaderboard, the app downloads this public file.

To stop sharing, open the app's Settings and turn off online participation (or clear your display name). While it is off, your results are not submitted.

Notifications (optional)

If you turn on the optional daily reminder, the app asks iOS for permission to show local notifications and schedules a reminder on your device. These are local notifications only — created and delivered entirely by your device. No reminder data is sent off your device, and we receive nothing. You can turn the reminder off any time in the app's Settings or in the iOS Settings app.

Third parties

Eddy's Games contains no advertising networks, no analytics providers, no tracking SDKs, and no social-media integrations. The only third party involved is the hosting service for the optional online leaderboard (plainraw.com), which stores the public leaderboard file described above. If you do not take part in the online leaderboard, none of your game data is shared with it.

Children's privacy

Eddy's Games is suitable for all ages. The app does not collect personal information such as your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers (including IDFA). The optional online leaderboard uses only a display name that you choose; because that name is public, we recommend not using a real name or any personal information.

Data security

The games and all of your saved progress stay in the app's private on-device storage, protected by your device's standard iOS security and storage protections. The optional online leaderboard is, by design, a public file: anything you submit to it (your display name and scores) is publicly visible and can be edited by other users. Please keep this in mind when choosing a display name.

If this policy ever changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and post the revised policy at the same public URL used for the App Store listing.
